QR&O

QR&O is an abbreviation for the Queen's Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Forces.
These are regulatory instruments issued under a variety of authorities, providing guidance and direction on a wide array of topics.

Following each article of the QR&O is a letter in parenthesis; this letter indicates the source and authority of that particular order. Those sources are:
- (G) - Governor General in Council
- (M) - Minister of National Defence
- (C) - Chief of the Defence Staff
Other commonly used orders include Canadian Forces Administrative Orders, Defence Administrative Orders and Directives, and Compensation and Benefits Instructions.
