Wonder if HMCS Chicoutimi is part of this, I bet that it is.

Well, participation in otherwise publicized exercises and informing the public that the boats are in the Ex is not new. It doesn't really affect OPSEC. Heck! Sometimes you even have the sub in the actual Ex. official picture.  ;D

It's actual "operational" deployments that are usually kept quiet.
