Your medical isn't until 16 Jan. I'd probably write off hoping for anytime other than the absolute end of Feb just to hear back that your medical is good to go before you're even boarded. Have realistic expectations and you'll rarely be disappointed.
That's just what I was told after my interview, ether way I understand the system so there is no rush with it the process was ment to be through

Received a package from the RMO a couple weeks ago, so have booked a follow-up doctor appointment for January 10 to fill out some extra paperwork and have the doc go over some of my "deficiencies" from the CAF medical. Basically just to go over some past medications I've had. And to check my hearing? Guess the CAF hearing test didn't pan out so good. Was that a beep or did I just imagine a beep? I did find out this Christmas holiday on a trip to Chilliwack, that our car's squeaky front brakes are squeaking and I can't hear that frequency. Not sure this is really bad, I can hear pretty good, and haven't had any other hearing "problems". We'll see.

It helps to have the headphones set appropriately before commencing the test. When I did my aircrew medical at DRDC Toronto, the headphones were so loose that I kept readjusting them during the test and all that additional noise caused me to miss some sounds and register some sounds that didnt actually come from the pre-recording. Had to redo it after an hour and adjusted before doing the test and passed.
Also, avoid blasting your headphones a week before the test to sensitize your hearing.

Thanks for the advice. I seldom use headphones to listen to music. Now that I recall, the headphones in the sound box really weren't as tight as they could have been. I do know that I have a constant "ringing" in my ears all the time. This "buzzing" frequency is constant, so unless the test frequency is a different pitch, this is a normal everyday sound for me. So either the buzz is the same and fades into the background, or it wasn't a buzz and I thought it was. Guess I need another hearing test to be sure.
Sitting at a computer for my job all day, and under lots of florescent lights in the office, probably doesn't help either.

Hello,

As I have been someone following the threads here in many ways to keep my hope high, I wanted to contribute here, to keep you guys updated and for others that come after me to have some idea and some hope on their application process. I know there is still a long shot after my CFAT success but I’m still hopeful. And no matter what the decision is,  I will still be interested in the army and give back to this great country. Thank you to everyone in here.

IS IT JUST ME OR IS EVERYONE ELSE HERE GETTING PISSED OFF ABOUT WAITING TO GET ENROLLED ALREADY!
THE MILITARY KEEPS ON SAYING IT'S IN DIRE NEED OF MILITARY MEMBERS BUT THEY CANT SEEM TO FIX OR SPEED UP THE JOINING PROCESS. IVE BEEN WAITING SINCE JUNE OF 2017 TO SERVE MY COUNTRY. YOU WOULD THINK WITH THE NEW "30" DAY PROCESS FROM SIGNING UP TO GETTING SWORN IN AT YOUR LOCAL REGIMENT WOULD BE THE ANSWER TO THEIR BROKEN RECRUITING PROCESS. BUT NO IT MORE LIKE 30 WEEKS. HOW ELSE IS FED UP AND TIRED OF WAITING FOR AN ANSWER THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW SHOULD BE YES.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR WAIT TIME FROM FIRST CONTACT TO POSITION OFFERED.

THANK YOU

 :(

I understand your frustration. And yes after reading lots of comments in here, I realized waiting will be the last step of processing the applications. I am a patient man, I know and do hope that my wait will be worth it. Plus, in my situation, I do think my credit background will hold me back since I have bad credit. In the meantime, I am hoping to start making plans to pay off my debts as soon as I get a job while I wait for the next steps in the CAF application.

I would say to be patient but I doubt that's the last thing you want. I do hope you get called in soon.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your occupation choices and are you merit listed?

I've already been accepted into my regiment as a crewman, I'm just waiting for the ERC to be granted to me so I can start asap.
Funny enough I had already gone thru the process once before and got in within 6months. you would think joining again for the 2nd time would of been faster but it seems slower. all thanks to a private company doing the background check and not the CAF.

Lol. When I went for my interview my recruiter told me that my background check was incomplete, even though I knew my contacts were up to date and that the process was started a couple months prior to the interview . He said the company, and I quote " ...does a pretty shitty job...". He said he would do it himself...2 days later he informed me it was complete and that is was successful.
