So you're going to fix the DWAN?
« on: March 06, 2013, 16:13:27 »
Looks like I've found something to do when I'm bored at work other than read court martial decisions and laugh. Thanks for the link.

So you're going to re-org the DWAN? ;)

I wish I could, I swear the search function makes it deliberately impossible to find things.

I would guess that it works on a need to know basis, and since you don't already know, then you obviously don't need to know.

And if you knew where to find the answer, you must have already known the answer.

When I did my Basic, it was called Basic. And there was no DWAN.

Oh right they used Casette tapes to record data. It was E.R.s info that was on a punch card.

My one and only experience with military computer network systems was when I worked in the CE section in Cornwallis in the early 90's. I helped out on the trouble desk one day when they were shorthanded, and just had to sit back and shake my head. watching the clerk enter the trouble call info into the system, and the records clerk open a file and so forth.

Not entirely sure that it was an improvement over chisels and stone tablets.

Don't laugh, Cassette tapes are about to make a huge comeback. (http://gizmodo.com/5953682/the-future-of-data-storage-is-cassette-tape)
