I know that the Mail tends to make it sound like the MoD tried to cover this up but the reality is that the story of 3 Para at Musa Qaleh in 2006 has been fairly well covered in both Stuart Tootal's book Danger Close: The True Story of Helmand from the Leader of 3 Para and Patrick Bishop's book  3 Para.

Nothing really new here but another documentary might be enlightening. Hope that they don't forget that before the ad hoc "Easy" Coy went there Musa Qaleh had already been occupied for several months by, in succession, 14 Airborne Bde's Pathfinder Platoon and ANP; 6 Pl of B Coy 3 Para; I Bty 7 RHA; the Danes 1st Light Recce Sqn (whose CO wrote his own book - Lars Ulslev Johannesen, The Tigers and the Taliban: Risking Everything for Afghanistan) and various other elements (including a few Canadian LavIII's) who went there from time to time in a show of force or to reinforce or to help extract the garrison.
