At the risk of hijacking this thread, I would like to restate the guiding principle of artillery on Artillery Day 2018:

There are two kinds of people - Gunners and Targets!

I know the Artillery soldier is more hands on. I just want to know if the Artillery officer (other than FOO) actually go with the guns, or if the just stay in an office directing fire.
I do prefer Artillery soldier (hands on) but i do like the education plan with the officer.

I knew Willy pretty well. One of the best humans anyone could be fortunate enough to meet (for a gunner :) ).

That's the funny thing. Gunners are viewed a bit like lawyers. Everyone hates them in general but thinks that their own gunner/lawyer is a wonderful professional/human being.  ;D

I know they have different jobs and all, but I want to know specifically what they both do when firing down range.
