just to pull away from a different thread:

As for OPSEC, yes the CF does a terrible job at it but when there are official websites dedicated to the TF (including joining instructions) well, what more can I say.  It is not hard to figure out what units are going

http://www.army.forces.gc.ca/tf107/TF107_e.htm
http://www.army.forces.gc.ca/lfwa/tf108/cmd_message.htm

This entire site is full of OPSEC issues so why worry about it over "unclassified" news.

So because its full of OPSEC issues makes it ok continue?

But thats not my point.. Your units and your own travel plans should be nobody business except for those who really need to know. AL-Jazeera news doesn't need to know that a group of soldiers from CFB Xxxxxx is departing thier base at xxxx hrs by bus and travelling down Hwy XX. Stopping at Tim Hortons in Xxxxxxxx, for a road break. They will arive in thier departure base 3 hrs before thier Airbus departure time  of XXXX hrs.

As it becomes more regular and routine as each new group heads over every 6 months, it will get easier for anyone and everyone to find out the details of our travel.
