Canadian Merchant Navy Day - Sept. 3rd

I did a search before posting and I didn't find any applicable results.

I had not heard of "Merchant Navy Day" before. 

I did an internet search to find out information about this years festivities (official events, w/ photos, details etc...), but I didn't find anything???
