Canada doesn’t matter to the rest of the world - and it’s our own fault

Don't be so sure. I ran a job competition for the Government of Ontario last year for a Senior Procurement Advisor and had 158 applications. Only 25 or so were actually qualified to do the work. That being said, taking longer than 4 months to bring someone on board is way too long.

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

Interesting that de Havilland would be part of the consortium. They would not have a hope in hell of getting part of that contract. It would go to Bombardier and be centred around the Global Express. While I like the Dash 8 400, no one would build a sub hunter/survallance/battlefield...

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

I worked at Bombardier at the Downsview site. The Global Express series of aircraft are selling very well. They probably have 20 to 30 years before they are going to retire the series. Spare parts won't be a problem. They are not afraid of stealing parts off of aircraft being built, waiting...

    Canadian Surface Combatant RFQ

When I was working in aerospace, I had a critical shortage on one of the aircraft they were building, I flew to the vendor picked up the part and hand walked it through the QA process and hand delivered it to the line. Two hours later, I got a call from the line supervisor wanting to know where...

    New Crown

The new crown is not as bad as I thought it would. be, however, I agree there should have been some consultation outside of the Ottawa bubble.
