I don't think he'll have to modify the point of view he held at the CBC,to work for his new employer.Anti-Americanism,conspiracy theories,bashing the West,etc.

Speaking of the CBC...what about Tony Burman? He worked at the CBC for 35-years.Last June he became Managing Director at Al-Jazeera English.I'm pretty sure he wasn't the only former CBC employee to go that route.   I wonder if Tony's previous work at the CBC had any personal bias? ::)

It does seem strange that Mrs.Demetrick can't see any parallels between Canadians assisting the Afghans,and Canadians assisting in the liberation of Holland.

I'm still puzzled about something.I did a brief web search on the national origin of the name,Demetrick.Maybe I did something wrong,but it didn't mention the Netherlands at all. ??? I'm sure there were some non-Dutch immigrants in WW2 Holland,but it also makes me wonder if  Mom Demetrick's...

CountDC,   I disagree with your comments to OldSolduer,with regard to his opinions being "slanted and clouded" by his Son's service in Afghanistan.I also think that you could have referred to his Son's death with alot more class and respect. I think that those who have had,or now have family...

During the Cold War,"Peace Groups" were always well-funded too.

Good point,OldSolduer,follow the money trail.Somebody has an agenda in funding these groups.

How many of these people have real jobs? I have a feeling that most don't, they're just professional protestors/bums.
