From my CoC it is confirm AESOP will have a seat on the new fix wing SAR platform while ACSO lost theirs.

Very good point h3tacco, one thing to consider also will be the impact of the MESIP on the AESOP trade. That will mean you will have Cpl level AESOPs on crews with less experience. We will see some of the effects on the LRP side were most Sgt won't be flying anymore. The ones who will fly won't...

They're going to find out they need 2 AESOPs onboard or share sensors with the TACCO. My 2 cents. 

Dolphin_Hunter Yes you're right, but sadly it became Officer vs NCM thing (guess who won?). AESOP will open positions to Sigonela on the NATO UAV program starting this summer, one member is already screening for it. They'll be more openings by 2016.

Oldgateboatdriver, From your previous post, I think this might be one of the reasons why the RCAF is looking at developing a program where the Lts are "mentored" by WOs and Jr Capts "mentored" by MWOs. Kinda what the Army does; it was mentioned a week ago by the RCAF CWO during a town hall.

Why would the CDS mention this? Our intervention is very limited.  Maybe we're about to get more involved?

The RCAF rank Velcro patch is the same color as the current slip-on, except the border of the Velcro patch is also air force blue color.

The trade is approx 220.  The working rank is Cpl.

AESOP used to be MOC 081 but changed to MOSSID 00019. Good luck with the rest of your training.
