Just got back from the CFAT and was successful in getting into Suppy Tech!I‘m very pleased, now I‘m scheduled for Medical and Interview in a couple of weeks, they are doing both the same day. Franko started this dammit.

Well, there aren‘t a lot of people who know what poutine rapee is. I‘m from P.E.I. originally but during my travels in the maritimes, I‘ve only ever seen this in New Brunswick. You‘re from Shediac? Why have rapee when you can have lobster! :p

    Colour Vision

Hi There; The V1 to V5 are testings for your visual acuity not necessarily for color blindness. Color deficiency can come in various forms, yours being the most prevalent and normally restricted to males, then there are some that entail a blue/green deficiency (tritanopia). I know that color...

    Visual Acuity

I went to the FAQ and found info concerning visual requirements for application to the CF. Apparantly, one is rated on V1 - V5 meaning V1 (Pilot) and V5 (almost blind) and V3 acceptable. Does anyone know what exactly constitutes a visual acuity of three? Thanks

    Anxiety/OCD/meds (merged)

Hi Nathan; Well, I‘m going to be completely honest with you here. Don‘t send the letter. I‘m also in the application process but my background is Medical/Hospital. I deal with confidential medical information. Doctors are part of a "unit", and like us, they support eachother. The first thing...

Thanks a bunch Freight. Yeah, I‘ve searched just about everything. These aptitude tests though, hmm, I dunno. I wonder how accurate they really are. One wrong move may influence the opportunity to learn the trade that you have your heart set on. Unless you‘re mentally challenged, one shouldn‘t...

U.S. Military Deserters in Canada Megathread

It would be interesting to see what would happen to the Canadian Soldier if the situation were reversed. Not only would we want to kick his **s but the U.S. wouldn‘t look twice at us. There are many reasons to send the coward back home and a very important part of NOT keeping him here is that...

Well at 66Kg and 170cm, I guess I win the deer contest *grin*. I wonder if the CF has a similar BFA. I know the physical requirements to enter BMQ are quite low. I jog about 5 - 10 km every day or so, and the situps are quite easy for me, but I lose if we‘re comparing shoulders, of course...
