    Question about our colours

As all gunners know our colours are the guns......with the loss of the M-109 and the gaining of the mortars.   I was wondering if anyone out there think the mortar should be considered "colours" or not.   Just a question to throw out there for opinions

    Where are the mortars?

Well here out west we it this way..... Mortars are split between two bty's,  A and C.  A Bty is mounted in Wolves (or will be) and us in (what we jokingly say)  C company (really a BTY)  we are dismounted.  Primary system is the LG1 but we tend to fucos more on mortars.

    Military Spending question

I think its more of the way we spend the money.  IE:  purchasing those stupit subs, wasting money on things as excessive use of paper ( I went through 3 packages the other day for just checklists like MY GOD) ect... my 2 cents

LAV recovery? is there such thing?

So to my understanding they'll use the bison style for recovery with the LAV 3?  The reason for these questions is that I was told that if a lav was to totally break down IE: all wheels go,  they would have to flat bed the vehicle back to base to be fixed.  I just found it hard to believe that...

A question for the gunners in Shilo-Why Are You Called "The Regiment?"

I asked around in the good ol' C bty lines today and got this as my answer.  As a quote from the 1RCHA site  "The First Regiment of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery is the senior unit of the regular component of the Canadian Forces. The Regiment traces its origin to 20 October 1871, when the...

LGI Mark II - Good or not !?

In my opinion yes it is.  Like everything the CF owns it has its drawbacks but I like it.  It's dependable, stable and light wieght.  The gun was made durable I'll give the french that. The ability to hide the LG1 is great, the low profile of the gun helps alot.  The baseplate idea is sweet too...
