    Can‘t decide..

Hey baskin...I‘m in the arty its not as hard as you think man. If your in a medium battery (155mm 100pound shells) dont worry they‘ll teach you ways of gettin that round up the spout and down range. I know I‘m just a little guy myself. I loaded and fired 16 consecutive rounds no problem. PT...

The trainer also has the ability to have 81mm mortars on it too. We use it once in awhile here saves on money and ammo.

    C3 to the Regs

The only thing I‘ve heard was that A Bty is losing 109‘s in exchage for the wolves (81mm mortar inside a bison). But A bty just completed an ex with the c-3 so anything is possible. Either way the 109‘s are soon gonna be put in war storage......

    Mock Tower Wings

You say they‘re dorky cause you‘ve done it, you‘ve jumped. Let others who are too young have they‘re freakn accomplishments awarded to them with the wings. Gives confidance and maybe the will to do the actual thing like you did. Other than that shut up. All I got to do was the tower before I...

    Mock Tower Wings

Good point bringing up the abseil. The point that I was trying to make is that. In order for you to get the wing yes you have to jump out the tower. BUT you have to learn aircraft drills, in flight procedure, even (if they have time) landings. I dont recall abseiling to be so demanding. But...

    Mock Tower Wings

I had the tower wings back when I was in the 2642 3RCR (former AIRBORNE) cadet corps. We had to qualify for them every 3 month by exiting the tower PROPERLY. So for those who think that the tower wings are a joke.....I think ur jealous and incapable of gettin them yourself so you pick on...

Canadian Artillery-5 Years[and counting] of Artillery Thoughts

I‘ll have to argree with RCA about the future of the M-109. The redepolyment of mortors for the arty is good, but the actual use of them is right out to lunch. What i mean by that is, that being in a light bty we sometimes are stuck with both systems (LG1 and mortor) inside an already packed...

    Airborne Artillery

I asked around today and our jump capablities come under the new way of doing things here in the light role. Our BC is constently goin to meetings under the name Light Forces Working Group. Which from what i got from my sources was that 3 VP wants at least 4 tubes jump capable. We have 8 in...

    Airborne Artillery

As a current member of 1RCHA we have currently been putting people through jump courses in C bty. Dont quote me but I think its cause they want the mortor platoon to be jump capable. In support of 3VP. :sniper: :fifty:

New Indirect Fire Support Systems Needed

Brock, I was wondering if u have links to this turret system I‘d like to read up on it some more. As for the turntable mount, I like it for the 81mm only, because if you strike a mine or the vehicle gets shot up, u can still dismount and carry the mortor and ammo with you. But I‘d really like...

New Indirect Fire Support Systems Needed

I was agreeing that the m-109‘s are done, they‘re simply historical artifacts now. But I was giving another way of thinkin about how the artillery should go about its business with the 105‘s. But I agree with the lav 3 mortor idea because I read up on the vehicle and the mortor variant,in...
