Field Dressings : Is there any expiry?

There's been discussion on that on here...I believe the verdict was that the chance of a reaction was slim to nil, but not non-existent.

    Infidels and Muslim Taxi Drivers

I don't think you can say that "by definition" all Muslims read the Qu'ran.  That is one of the problems we face in places like A'Stan...Joe Pashtu can't read Arabic, and the Qu'ran can't be translated (and maintain it's authority), so Joe Pashtu can't interpret the scriptures himself, and is...

    Self-Wounded Soldier Endures "Thanks"

Or, perhaps he's suffering from an as-yet undiagnosed mental health disorder. Did that cross your mind? Not that the two are mutually exclusive, of course.

Gear Review - MOFOCR From CP Gear

The snapdragons took some getting used to, but Westie 47's way of unzipping the front pockets adds enough flexibility to the rig to get 'em done up. I find it easier to do up the middle one first, then the top and bottom; otherwise it's too hard to access the middle one. Good luck with the...

Welcome to the board. This question has been asked and answered a number of times...if you try the search function in the Enrollment Medical sub-board, I bet you'll find a number of answers pretty easily.

Ont realizes Advanced paramedics save lives

That's true in the majority (all?) of Ontario's system, but not at all true in a targetted EMS system, such as in other parts of North America.  In some systems, ALS do ALS calls, and BLS do BLS calls, according to dispatch criteria (MPDS or similar)...some send both, and the call is handled by...

UWO Prof Suggests Restricting Military Research

Toasters and microwaves ovens, too. Not to mention the thousands of health care items and procedures that were developed out of military necessity.

Field Dressings : Is there any expiry?

The only reason any inert bandages or dressings have expiry dates is because the manufacturer won't guarantee sterility beyond a certain date...if they haven't gotten and stayed soaked, I wouldn't worry....there's millions of 1950 era dressings in civil defence stores across the country. DF

Ont realizes Advanced paramedics save lives

I seem to recall, from the preliminary results presented at the Ontario Paramedic Conference 2005, that ALS had a higher mortality rate when involved in trauma calls.  I should read the article, too.

    CADEX Tactical Grip C7/C8

    CADEX Tactical Grip C7/C8

I ran a couple of pairs ranges with it earlier this month...not too bad. I've seen lots of our troops have them fall off if they're not tightened enough, so reef it on tight. I fit mine in on the closest holes on the handguards, but that's without my PAQ4, so I'll have to see how that works out...

Soldier Body Armour - FPV, BRP, shoulder pads & throat protectors (Merged Thread)

Yeah, one of the guys at Drop Zone was saying they'd sent out a modular vest design for trials, it sounded like a platoons worth, but I can't recall exact numbers. Matt from CP was fairly unhappy that his MoFOCR hadn't been included, and I seem to recall a really low number of Canadian...

Soldier Body Armour - FPV, BRP, shoulder pads & throat protectors (Merged Thread)

The messages are mixed, FD.  The BG commander has reportedly gone on record as saying he approves, my CoC has okayed it for the deployment and for Fd Tng (but not for use in garrison tng).  Others are crapping at the mere thought of someone leaving the holy-grail of CTS in their BB.  :-X I was...

Police pose as reporter to arrest protester

It's the VPD  ;) I think it's freaki' awesome.... These social activist groups frequently obtain press credentials to gain access to events, as well, good for the goose, good for the gander.  But I agree with Tim, it's a tactic that may not fly again.  It's also not like 24 is a high-power...

It might also allow health care proffesionals to bill what they feel their time is worth, in a competitive and increasingly efficient manner, as opposed to having wages and schedules dictated to them by a beaurocracy that consumes a hugely disproportionate amount of the health care budget.  ;) PMT
