A simpler fix.....bring back mandatory fitness testing prior to shipping people off to St. Jean.

Untrained BMQ Candidate Alleges Abuse by Directing Staff Sergeant

I am willing to submit another FOI, but from what I saw (in albeit my brief time) in recruiting, is that very very few of the 35+ age group in the application process had that kind of experience to offer

And the first step, is if you see something you SAY something.  If you aren't saying something, you are complicit, and might as well be championing it. No one has jumped on anything, or made assumptions, because YOU KEEP SAYING YOU WILL DO IT, in fact your sentence contradicts itself.  Never...

Keep it civil Journeyman, your incessant attempts to bait FJAG are getting tiresome.  If he wants to withhold comment until he has all the details, that is his prerogative.  Until then you are free to do your own research about case law regarding joint submissions here https://www.canlii.org/en/ca/

Canadian Forces Officer guilty of wearing unearned medals.

Why is that unfortunate?  It may not necessarily be a smart thing to do career wise (but given the precedent perhaps, all they will get is a slap on the wrist), but I think it's a very telling gesture that many people serving and non-serving, have some serious issues with not only this officer...

Canadian Forces Officer guilty of wearing unearned medals.

Summary trial wasn't an option, since she was facing 3x charges for " unlawful use of military uniforms or certificates " which is a criminal code charge (s.419) and not one that is triable at summary trial. (http://www.admfincs.forces.gc.ca/qro-orf/vol-02/chapter-chapitre-108-eng.asp para 3a )

A good place to start is early, ie in the recruiting/basic training phase.  Why we don't piss test applicants is beyond me.  I mean most assume we do already, it's actually more of a surprise to them when they find out we don't.

What book are you reading now?

Just finished reading "PERV: The Sexual Deviant in all of us" (I was wandering through an Indigo back home while on leave, aimlessly looking for anything interesting...and well I was sold on the title alone.).  It's an interesting read to say the least, makes you think what is really going on...

Ordered to work on days off?

There might be an actual efficient way of doing it (ie software), or just having leadership that really knows their troops.  Example at the 48th, for a few years we had some really switched on FTUC, that knew which troops were available for short notice taskings, like the back of their hand. ...
