You'll probably be going to LFCATC Meaford for SQ. Its like...1 hour north of Borden there up by Meaford. You get to live in a "great" base with weather that changes every half and hour and staff that just "loves" you. The course is 7 weeks long these days, and you get to learn cool stuff. Owen...
Hahah...ahh...section attacks in the tank ruts...those hated tank ruts. Good ground for digging trenches though...at least my trench wasn't in water :)
I think its changed as in BMQ is run as a relevent course to todays modern battlefield taking into acount lessons learnt and what not but I'm sure the basic idea hasn't changed. Take Civves, break them and mold them into solidiers willing to serve.

Hey man,
I'm in the same boat...well sort of. I want to take something OUT of being a signal operator, some sort of technology thing. I don't want to spend my entire career in the fiield else I would have joined 031. I heard you can speciallize in various types of things in the signals trade...
Thats beautful lol the key tag of truimph! Yes...if you leave ANYTHING open..they will fuck you up so bad sometimes its ridiculus. Don't doors open, barracks open and god forbid...your locker! The main driving force behind this is weapons security. After like..5th week you have a C7 parked in...

Hey,
Well after BMQ, most people go to CFB Borden to sit at the unit I'm on right now PRTC (Post Recruit Training Center) where I did SQ and got my 404 (military driving licence) You also do a bunch of taskings (read time fillers) for example we're MP dummies, I've gone and provided enemy force...
