    Actually I have yet to see a proper GORE-TEX trademark on any of the CF garments that I'm come across (which admittedly is not many).  Even the new Army/Airforce converged rain jacket samples have no markings inside.  The US Marine Marpat combo is covered inside with GORE-TEX labels/seams...

    By the way, what the devil is that flap of velcro used for on the strap for the flashlight holder of the TV? (or what was it originally intended for). I've seen people use it to hang car keys, access tokens, you name it.

    Well the sling arrived today.  Now I understand why that one fellow didn't like it.... It is rather different with the two loops at the ends.  However, I tried it out on an M16A2 and it was a much better fit on it. I'll try the looping idea though the butt stock on the C8.  Too bad you can't...

    Milsim question.... Will the standard C7A1 Patrol Sling also work with a C8/M4A1 ? Or will it need some work to adapt it. The sling NSN in question is 1005-21-911-7446. (item found on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36071&item=6517401529#ebayphotohosting) Thanks
