    WoT or World of Tanks

Ha, a WoT thread. Saw this from WoS. haven't played WoS, but in WoT I pretty much have every tank, and been in the best NA clan until I stopped playing sometimes at the beginning of the year (-G-). I also have about 350.000 gold in the account from all the tourneys I have done Will search you...

    CH-146 Griffon

They represent less than 10% of the multi fleet. I gather chances are extremely low unless you ask for it. And living on a ship... for 6 months... although very tempting with the new cyclones. In the end I keep trying to remind myself that location shouldn't matter as long as I end up flying...

Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

Correct, if you have tax credits, you can submit a tax reduction at source form. Not sure if you are able to reduce tax at source without any credits tho. I've read the older posts here and saw some trying to get "more" tax deducted so that they have a positive tax refund (rather than owing)...

    CH-146 Griffon

Was curious for where they physically keep the helicopters, but thanks. @Scoobs. For Tachel I was looking at Borden, St. Hubert, Edmonton and maybe Gagetown. Would like to avoid Pet and especially Valcartier. Hence why my (probably repeated) questions regarding Borden and St. Hubert. Trenton...

    CH-146 Griffon

Fair enough, thanks for the info. For now wanted to play the game of probabilities where I might get assigned after/if I get my wings. Obviously more units at a squadron means more chances of getting assigned at one. Regarding Gagetown, where is the squadron operating and stationed? I could not...

    CH-146 Griffon

Good database to build an idea. Some discrepancies. Apparently there is only 1 SAR Griffon in Trenton? Also a significant number in Borden and St. Hubert, considering their suppose to be reserve air units. Are the pilots also reserve or reg force?

    CH-146 Griffon

Anyone happen to know the numbers at each squadron for Griffons? The website says 88 total, and the locations, but I can't find anywhere the amount each squadron has. Also, are Borden and St-Hubert full time postings or part-time only for Griffons? Cheers.

Switching from FW to RW and vice-versa

Well not just that, but on bases that have both FW and RW, (e.g. Trenton or the coasts) to be tasked to fly multiple types. But I do see the benefit of having a pilot specialized on a type (not even a platform) vs pilots being jack of all trades. You do get to see the world and hop from one...

    Most likely airframe to fly

I'm basically asking those questions as pilots who are already operational might have a much better insight of how the new guys are getting in their squadron and what are the aspects. Plus of course their opinions of things they have observed and heard about. And their own experience. Of course...

Switching from FW to RW and vice-versa

I do wish there were opportunities to fly both FW and RW at the same time. I'm just so torn between the two.

    Most likely airframe to fly

For someone who is scheduled to graduate in 2016/2017, what is the most likely airframe to be assigned to? Rumors are that it's highly unlikely to get the Cormorant fresh out of training. True? Will it be Cyclones/Griffons? Do they still train new pilots on the Sea King since it's life...

Switching from FW to RW and vice-versa

Question for for current trained pilots. Is it easier to transfer from multi platform to helo platform vs vice versa? I would assume since the number of helos is double than that of multis that would be the case? And of course I am talking about after several years of flying a platform, not...

2Lt pay incremental after 5 years in the rank

2LT DEO has 6 increments http://www.forces.gc.ca/en/caf-community-pay/reg-force-class-c-officer-rates.page AFAIK when you reach the last, you no longer get any increases (other than all over the board increase when they bump everyone up; which as can be seen from that link was March 2013 so...

Pension Transfer Value / Lump Sum Pymt [Merged]

Got it! Cheers! Very helpful. And last thing to confirm, just like you said in your second post, someone joining at 17 and retire at 42 after 25 years. They can start cashing unreduced pension immediately at 42 correct? They don't have to wait to 50 or 60 to cash their 25 years unreduced...

Pension Transfer Value / Lump Sum Pymt [Merged]

Cheers. I understand it a lot better now. Regarding the bridge benefit ending at 65, what exactly meant by that? From what I understood, yes the bridge ends at 65 and get's replaced by CPP, which from my understanding it can be higher/lower, depending how much more you worked and how many...

Pension Transfer Value / Lump Sum Pymt [Merged]

Thank you for the detailed reply. It's good to confirm that in order to receive pension (full), you must have at least 25 years of service or wait until 60 (if less than 25 years in but more than 2). I assume the 55 w/ 30 years of pensionable service is for jobs before/after serving in CAF (to...

Pension Transfer Value / Lump Sum Pymt [Merged]

Thanks for the link. Didn't really found much info, but I found this little bit http://www.forces.gc.ca/en/caf-community-pension-reg-post-march-2007/benefits.page#q3 So full pension @ 25 years of service (which gets paid immediately? if I understand it correct) or at 60 years old. Reduced...

Pension Transfer Value / Lump Sum Pymt [Merged]

Hi. Any RMS Clerks here that can answer me some questions? I know that after 25 years of service you can retire and get pension (or 20 depending when one joined). I also know it's 2% * years of service * avg of last 5 years pay Now my questions are: - Once you reach 25 years of service and...
