Wessex Vs and  Scouts used to fill the air - but the Brits used to have troops to put into them as well. Many of those battalions don't exist...

    not really - it is that narrow - i got through it in about 5 seconds but it does seem longer - don't forget the water supports your weight so its not that hard to move - the stoney bottom really hurts the knees and elbows - and the DS (Directing Staff) pissing into the water before hand puts you...

    I have done that commando course - the water obstacle isn't that bad - in fact it give you a bit of a rest - the 8 mile run back to camp soaking wet is the killer!

    back in the 90's I visited the German Army Tank Battalion at Castlemartin on the South West tip of Wales. We were shown around the Leopard 1 and watched a fine display of live firing. The tactics were very much hit and run and the accuracy was amazing. I was glad that those Panzers were on our side
