Hubby and I will be staying in Hfx for a few days at the end of next month while he is on HLTA, so we'd be down there anyway...if timings worked out that is.
+1
Hubby called me once during a training session. He had 5 minutes free and just wanted to say g'nite. He told me "if you hear a big bang...the guns are about to fire" well sure enough I heard the order called out in the background followed by a BIG BOOM! At that moment I asked hubby where to...
Ahhhh Ralph's!!!
Spent many a Ladies' Night there....hahahah, but not anywhere near the sticky seats.
The last four years of my life were in Oromocto and there are no peeler bars in Freddytown...
It kinda makes me miss our short time in Quebec. Kinda.
I never said I knew the menus...just wings...
The wings were good at the strip joint on Barrington (accross from where the Superstore is now) too...so I hear. ;)
hehehe BYTD, there once was a time when I knew where all the drink specials were for every night of the week...including the wing nights. I'd make my rounds from Margarita Monday at Rosies to wings at the Moustache on Tuesday...to JJ's (back when it was a good bar) for 5 cent wings and $1...
I may even be willing to travel down from Moncton. I have family in the 'fax so I'd certainly have a place to dump the genetic experiments and crash afterwards.
As it stands right now, I'd go to either Gagetown or Hfx for an M&G.
Nope, I agree...
This is one staunch conservative daughter of conservatives (actually Republican Americans...oooooh >:D) from the Valley who married a staunch conservative son of a Liberal (actually Democrat American) father from the Valley. ;D
We wrote the exception to the rule...LOL
It was probably the same five people that put up a stink about the green bins, started the cone composting thing and use the Farmer's Market on Saturdays from April to Oct as their soapbox...they were likely huddled together in from the weather having some fantastic eggs and bacon or a hot...
Some other points to note here are:
Wolfville, by nature is an Arts and Liberal town. Being a university town (Acadia) there are ALOT of very Liberal, anti government, anti-Harper views there. When I looked at the locations of the rallys that were taking place yesterday I was not at all...
Had a coffee with cream...nothing.
Switched to milk...three coffee winners in a row...
Had a tea...nothing.
I'm sticking with Lg 1 sugar 3 milk...that seems to be the ticket for me.
;D

AHHHH! I figured okay...20:00h EST is 21:00h AST....but when I turned on the tv Fifth Estate was on...
I gotta go check the time shifting now and hope I can still catch it...I was really looking forward to it.
:brickwall:

I have been following his blog daily and just read that piece. Its a shame that he's coming home so soon, I have been impressed with his reporting and blogging and I just plain like his style. Hopefully whoever is replacing him will have just as much class.
Cheers,
CAW
Because of the "As It Happens" post, I went to the CBC website and listened to the program.
For anyone who missed it, MCpl Fitzgerald was interviewed and you can hear the interview (if you have RealPlayer) here if you click on the link for part 3 of the program, the interview is the beginning...
According to Rick Mercer's blog...he will be going back shortly too. I just hope it doesn't coincide with hubby's HLTA...I'd hate for him to miss it. I think it is FABULOUS that the entertainers go over there and bring some laughs to the troops.
I'll be watching the show tomorrow night...I...
Hubby and I decided to get me a personal trainer too, for all the same reasons as camochick and I love it...I needed the added accountablity and motivation.
My trainer cost $45 per session for a commitment of 6 months. It is $50/session when you only commit to 3 months. The initial appointment...
bit of a hijack here, but I'd say Moncton has the most Tims per capita...
According to the website there are 27 Timmies in the greater Moncton area (Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview)
see for yourself ;D :cdn:
That leaves my mouth dry and my guts heaving.
How disrespectful and ignorant. I can only imagine what could possibly have happened if just a couple more military folk had been there.
A round of throat punches for all? That just completely and utterly disgusts me that people can be so "ignant"...
