Identity crisis: "Intelligence is a trade, not a requirement"

Thanks Journeyman, that seems like a perfect compromise. I will pass along that advice and hope he listens...and in the meantime I'll keep researching the trade. Somehow though, even if he were to OT, I can't see it for at least a couple years down the road...he has to finish this tour and do...

Identity crisis: "Intelligence is a trade, not a requirement"

Okay folks, get your coffees and get comfy, this may get long winded. I've scoured the CFRC website and the INT Association websites, I have read almost all the threads here regarding INT. So far I've been able to get a bit of info regarding INTOP, but not really all that much on INTOfficer...

    Probably answered

Yes, and no. The gold plated cap badge gets worn throughout CAP and Ph 3 (sorry, Arty Officer DP1 Mod 1 ::)), and the cloth cap badge is sewn onto the beret at end of Ph 3, IIRC. I did the sewing myself...and since hubby completed Ph3 twice (first Field, then the new combined when he went AD) I...

Cornet wales in trouble ... Again

Sounds like Harry's GAF factor is pretty low. Hopefully it'll turn around before he goes "out east".

Strong, Independant woman crying alligator tears....

I'm six weeks into a six month tour...my sixth day was the worst!! But since then I've realized there are a few rules I have to live by: 1) Stay busy...it keeps your mind off him, and on what you want to be doing, which is living. Being a zombie does no one any good. 2) Don't glue yourself to...

    All Things Paul Franklin (merged)

I was very impressed and deeply moved. I missed it on the tv, but I watched the segment online, and though the video was extremely choppy the sound was fine...and really that is all I needed. Wow...I would be humbled in his (and his wife's) presence... Strong people. Cheers, CAW

HRM, NS - Meet and Greet - 26 May @ 1900 Pilot Pub

Not so likely for us to be posted there, I'm afraid...not much work for an Air Defender on a Navy Base...or even (ch)airforce base for that matter....unless the Gods shine upon us and give Mr CAW a job at LFAA...but even then, that will likely be a couple years from now...as the Regt is not...

HRM, NS - Meet and Greet - 26 May @ 1900 Pilot Pub

I voted Pilots Pub, cus I'm guessing that it is in Dartmouth...and if this M&G takes place last weekend of April, hubby and I will be staying in Dartmouth...if it is at another time...don't count my vote.  ;D But if it is there...I'm gonna need some directions.  Cheers, CAW

    Homefront - Documentary March 10th

Check the link in Roy Harding's last post. You will find the trailer there as well as the schedule of the upcoming Global Currents shows...it lists Homefront as being aired (encore) on April 21. The link has been there the whole time...perhaps next time you could read all posts in a thread...

Best form of Cardio while injured??

Keebler, Good luck with it. As you already know SamIAm and MRM have given some sage advice. I second the idea of running for time not distance. I have the same mind set as you...especially since I have run two 10Ks, and a 13.1K leg in a relay race and trained for a 1/2M I tend to feel like I...

Best form of Cardio while injured??

Yeah same here. It was this time last year I finally gave in to the PF while on a training run for a 1/2M...I nursed it for a bit, but ran again in the Cabot Trail Relay Race....that killed me...I learned my lesson. I am just now getting back into serious training. Almost a year later. Armed...

Best form of Cardio while injured??

I was plagued with Plantar issues this time last year. I took up water running. A zero impact way of running in a pool...it is hard to explain but if you google it you can come up with some good resources. Also a fair number of people on www.RunningMania.com have taken up water running to keep...
