Do I have to be good at math to be a pilot?

I suggest you don't do that too much. It'll only make you worried and make the CFAT seem like some impassable test. That's what happened to me anyway. It is not very hard. It is not very easy. The time given seems like a lot, but it really isn't once you start answering questions. You'll...

    reserve bmq

What? How do you know if Reg force BMQ is any harder/tougher/different than weekend PRes BMQ? You haven't done either. My recruiting officer told me that Air Force and Navy Reserve members go to St. Jean with Reg Force candidates and train with them, doing the Reg Force BMQ. The Army Reserve...

    Age Limits - Reserves

Oh I didn't even see it. The guy in that thread posted in here, several posts up: Looks like there isn't only one standard.

    Age Limits - Reserves

http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/106953.25.html Someone in that thread, I believe, said that CFRC Toronto and other CFRC have different standards. CFRC Toronto is not processing 16 year olds and others, like CFRC Ottawa, are.

Marks / Grades: School / GED or PLAR [MERGED]

Hey man don't worry about it. I had no volunteer experience and I was never in the Cadets and I got in. I'm anything but exceptional. I'm not exactly experienced in the CF - not by a long shot, but to my understanding each application is different and is case by case... some get in within a few...

    Getting paperwork before turning 16?

I applied 4-5 months ago, I got sworn in the first week of June, and did BMQ last month. I'm 16 because my birthday is in October. I guess I'm not 'technically' in grade 12 yet, I start grade 12 next month. So I'll be 16 in grade 12 for a month and a half.

    Getting paperwork before turning 16?

Wrong. You can be 16 and be in the reserves as long as you're a full time student. That can be a high school student. I'm 16, in grade 12, and I'm in the reserves. Just did a course last month.

    Officer at 16/17?

What makes you think being a Sgt. in the cadets will weigh more heavily than being a Pte. in the Reserves? A buddy of mine was an officer in the cadets until he was 18. We were talking, and he said that sure, you hold higher ranks in the cadets at a young age than in the Reserves. However, the...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

It's not hard enough to blow 50 bucks on that... It's not easy - don't get me wrong, but it's not impossible either. Brush up on your math, maybe read a book that uses some advanced vocabulary. I printed off some math work sheets and did them, and continued to until I knew how to do all the...
