CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

I believe the date already passed for this year's CEOTPs from the serving ranks...  I think there is a thread I saw somewhere around her mentioning that....  try a search.

Was this a serving member?  They have different dates and numbers from what I understand.

At a crossroad, need some direction

Tango - One of the best replies to this type of topic I have ever read on this board. It's also near and dear to my interests, so I may be slightly biased as it is armour-focused ;)

Agreed, however I am not a serving member.

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

More fuel to the fire, thanks :)  I am aware of the GROSS pay rates... but what is really important is NET (takeaway) pay.  I have an idea for an OCdt though, as there is a net pay sheet I received from the CFRC for a basic private and that is about 80$ less than an OCdt.    Amounts to 1330$...

Police pulling guns on Reservists in BC

I'm sure there are many applicable regulations, but doest this all come under the [paraphrased] political science definitions of sovereign government? More specifically, a sovereign government is one that exercises a monopoly on the use of force within its territory? Given the CF is an...

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

Much thanks to all...  I guess the point will all be mute if CEOTP does not open for the combat arms trades this coming FY.  I'll be surprised, but you never know.

I'm confused as to who you are referring to and what exactly you are trying to say....

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

Nope.  My follow-up email from the CFRG just got a response essentially telling me the only way I'll ever know is to get an enrolment message, and decide to accept or refuse.  Seems kind of silly to me, and I can't imagine how its fair to those not getting comissions right away.

Thanks all for the feedback. I'm tending to lean towards what Kincanucks touched on -  previous service.   I've heard frequently that this is not the case,  (and my friend seemed to believe that the three did NOT have previous service)  but the only CEOTP pers on here who have ever claimed...

    A Tough Choice

From experience, don't necessarily count on that.

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

Hi all, I'm wondering if there is someone out there in recruiting land that can source the appropriate regulation covering CEOTP commissioning dates and thus the basic pay (and preferably net basic pay for a single mbr) for someone under CEOTP at incentive 0 (with no previous service). Reason...

    Jetstream - The Series

Me either really.  Does this work along with the "military rating system" and I just don't get it as a civy?

    Jetstream - The Series

Is this because the aircraft are considered "shared" vice some other consideration for fast air?

    Jetstream - The Series

From what I gathered during the show, the students were using "borrowed' aircraft right?  It seemed like a lot of the instructors names were written on the -188s as they would cut out with the student in the front seat....  makes sense I suppose given our limited numbers. Do all pilots get...

Well, consider that all military members are taxpayers as well, I suppose by your logic that would mean that they are all self-employed?  If they only knew! I should also add that as a taxpayer, I don't think otherwise, and if you'd like, we could probably get into a pissing contest about who...

FWIW: (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12) -Personally, I'd say I'm a bit overwhelmed intially by the colours.  I know this is in part because of the pirmary colour usage for PPCLI, but with both the header banner and the PPCLI banner...
