That's strange.  Unless maybe The Personal felt the dogs had some aggressive (or perhaps banned in that province) breed in them, I can't think of any reason why they would take that stance re. house insurance.  I've heard that mixed-breed dogs as a rule tend to be as friendly and well-balanced...

Anecdotally speaking, in the community at large (i.e. outside DND) I have heard some skepticism on that very point as well... along the lines of "Is he working on his defence, or what?".  Some of this was voiced before his arrest. Who knows...  many substantial questions remain.

My first car had a 'vertical take-off' switch on the dash.  Those were sold beside the 'turbo-boost' switches, if memory serves.  Fortunately I never had to use it - I'm not sure the chassis would have held together.
