Was the intent to use the AOPS to replace the MCDV's. I hadn't heard that before. Those 2 ships may have similar abilities but they also have significant differences. What is the plan to replace the MCDV's?

Well Wolf, I don't mean to burst your bubble but VAC is still processing Apps in stage3 since Feb 2017. That means that once yours gets to stage 2 you could be looking at an additional 17 months! I have been discussing this with an MP who sits on the Veterans Committee and he was equally...

I'm going to pose a question here for one of our Sgts: He's helping a Korean War Vet with some medical issues. During their conversations the Sgt discovered he had saved a man's life in combat (shot in the face). VAC has recognized his injuries with 100% claim. However, is there a way to verify...

For Cyclones deployed on the new CSC that's an interesting idea. However, I doubt a modded Helo would fit thru the hangar doors on a CPF. There isn't much room between the sponson and the door rail.

What a great way to recognize our proud naval heritage. The grand old girl certainly earned the right to be our ceremonial flagship. Too bad she couldn't be restored to the point of leading the fleet at sea on special occasions.

Those are the same lashings we use. The chocks are neat... they are adjustable. We use heavy rubber chocks.

If you think your assessment was wrong you can appeal it. There is a review process on the VAC web page. It's a great place to start.

All the Helo stuff aside, no matter which boat we finally I regret I'll never sail on them. All 3 left in the competition look sweet. The VLS and sensors alone will get us back into the big leagues... we that and some new tankers. There are some serious improvements on the horizon for the RCN...
