the medical eye exam is pretty simple, they just ask you to read lines of an eye chart from a couple of metres away. if you wear glasses you‘ll do it with and without, if you can‘t see anything on the chart without glasses they‘ll give you a form for your eye doctor to fill out.

Highlanders usually wear balmorals or glengaries with their DEUs. i think the Governor General‘s Foot Guards still wear forage caps with their DEUs, maybe someone else could confirm/deny that. some Air Force personel wear the light blue berets with their DEUs.

they don‘t release information on what makes up each vision category, otherwise people could ask less ethical eye doctors to fill in the forms as needed to be in the desired vision category. so like Korus said, you‘re probably not going to know until you take your medical.
