Yeah - lots of chatter.
I've seen these things come & go - not sure why people are so horny to get rumours when really you're just going to get all wound up with misinformation.......of which I've read some above.
Patience young grasshoppers. Don't believe all the "Purple Monkey Dishwasher"...
Huh? Did someone call me?? ;D
Good advice though. Nothing worse than regretting something you've done. I live life with no regret myself. Ha ha.....I do tell myself I'm glad I've done some of the stupid things I've done - makes me who I am today. Or at least a little more experienced...
There were some very out of date topics referring to this same subject - decided a new topic could bring a fresh look into a not so new procedure. Very interesting points I must say.

I'm wondering if any of the operators out there can give there input on their own GPS training to date. Whether it be PLGR or DAGR - or both.
In particular, I'm looking to see where you were taught. On course at CFSCE, standalone course at the unit, or "Here's a GPS - go play"....that kind...
Dent!? I think it officially passes the status of dent once the door is no longer operational.
I wonder if the errant mast ever got it's rank back??

So does that mean if a Sig Op was awarded the CSS Soldier of the Year award in a Cbt Arms Unit, that he/she would have to remuster to CSS in order to keep their plaque??
Not that this applies to moi. ::)
Note to self - look into remuster procedures.

Does anyone have a ref/link to policy on parking of military vehicles indoors?
I've always heard things like "If the vehicle requires a key, it must be in the ignition" and "Vehicles with a driver's hatch or ramp, must be left open". I thought this was all to do with the possible evacuation...
Well since this is as far as I can see, this is the most recent topic on Logistik website - figured I'd try this question here.
Couldn't come up with an answer in the FAQ - sorry if it's right there in front of me.....it's late.
Can anyone tell me when your max allotment of each item is...
Ah ha - another person that does it - but where is the black & white with justification? Unfortunately, this is what I need to plead my case.
Reason I ask, is because the OR is the culprit all of a sudden for saying - "Nope" because of however it is that they read TD info.
I'd be happy to...
Not wanting to start a new thread as this may be somewhat related.
I always thought that for TD - breakfast if provided (at a hotel) was not to be claimed only if it was a full or hot breakfast. It goes back to one of those things as having always done it this way. What I'm trying to...
I dunno - grass seems pretty green to me on this side. Well, actually it's buried under a couple of feet of snow at the moment. Any other Canucks out there wishing they were part of some other Army? Not I.
It would be nice if you got to skip out on any portion of training considering your...
Hmmm....Hoof Hearted.
Not that I was part of that course, but I think that one sounds familiar. Might have even been one of the dummies to have said that one over the air and not even have known it. ??? At least I didn't go to Stores looking for Routing Indicators I guess.
One that I...
A little fun topic of funny things heard on the radio. Share yours, I've heard a few doozies myself over the past X years.
I've heard a Coy OC (let's say C/S 39) with the annoying habit of always giving the "out" to Zero. I don't want to argue the rules of the ACP 125 or anything - but he...
It does fit as I remember hearing how A LOT of these internet scammers are based out of Africa, so perhaps someone is sitting at their computer with a English/African-French dictionary looking up words.
I think he would have been better off going for something a little more current though...
I hear lots of equipment related questions (here and elsewhere) and just wanted to share this location for those with DWAN access: http://dglepm.ottawa-hull.mil.ca/dlcspm/index_e.htm
I've used it in the past and continue to use it as a first stop to most equipment related questions. Of course...
Just a little story about a situation I've come across.......please move to appropriate location if I've posted in wrong area.
So I saw an ad in a local online selling place, advertising a vehicle for a very low price. No doubt a hoax, but I with curiosity - contacted the listing person almost...
A little birdy told me that he got comms from A to B at nearly 200km using one Rebro, in the sand nonetheless. :warstory:
Certainly deserves a pat on the back - if only I could have witnessed it myself. :(
I don't want to poke in here just to say something that's already been said, but I...
