The comments pertained to the thread at hand because I was actually moreso interested in hearing from the other air force trades how their spouses cope, etc. Not just  from the pilot perspective... The point of my post was to moreso get other trades involved in the conversation.

I grew up in Trenton.... And I wasn't common-law in Trenton either.... If I saw somewhere that I thought worthwhile to post, I would... I mean, just look at my posts for RMC.... I may be young but I'm not stupid.... If someone asked me about my experience, I'd be more than happy to share them.

I always laugh when I see this type of thread because most of the time it only has pilots...... And the rest of the air force trades get ignored..... And yet, a pilot can't fly without us other trades.

What I want to know is.... does anyone know where I can get the rank braid? Cause there's a place here in Morrisburg that will do it for 5-10$ but they need the braid and the instructions as to how to put it on.

I'm in Ottawa now..... but yes, base has a tailor, but I'm pretty sure they don't do mess kits.... Like Andrei the tailor....

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a Lt rank braid to put on my mess kit. Also, wondering if someone has the "sewing instructions" for the braid. I want to go to the tailors in town and they know there are instructions for sewing it, but don't know what they are, and they don't...

Thanks. I guess basically, I was looking for someone who can obtain and knows how to sew on new ranks onto a mess kit. Nothing too significant, but I don't want a shitty job done either. I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it done either.

So noone knows????

Interesting.... I could never remember how many days I was entitled to until my CELE course, where I was told 21 days if less than 5 years in and 26 days over 5 years..... So those numeros were wrong?
