Want to take a guess what international aerospace conglomerate influenced the Australian government to get a directed contract award to provide in-service support for the RAAF’s Lockheed C-130Js?
Hint: NOT Lockheed.
Hint #2: Same maker as the MRH-90 Taipan and Tigre AH.
Which is ironic, given how Canada has de-powered itself to the point of now being subtly directed by the US how to invest in a number of wider security-related capabilities.
Some Canadians complaining that CAF family members were getting standby flights on DND's contracted service air flights...
I think the MND and CDS are a lot closer to being in step with “how things are going to go down” in the next couple of years. GoC will figure out what it has to do to keep its big neighbor to the South happy. Canada is beyond the point of having full control of its own destiny.
Don’t mistake “will get the P8” for “wants to get the P8.”
Can we quote you on that? Which ‘important people and families’ would be capable of refusing US direction, camouflaged as ‘continental defense concern’, to buy the P8?
It’ll certainly make for one very sad game of “I told you so!” when there are no more legal guns but people are still dying by guns…guns that were never properly and responsibly targeted (through the criminals that used/use them) and a justice system that failed to prosecute those who committed...
One could argue that the rising cost of living has made the majority of Nova Scotians using heating oil to warm their homes poorer and thus lower class Canadians so the Liberals don’t feel obliged to support them since they are no longer the LPC’s targeted middle class…
The wishes of Nova...
Well, I’d trust the word of Hawk bubbas who have more than a few battle honors doing the business in some pretty unfriendly far away places, but if the Air Force wants to hard core Air Force, then who are we to dissuade them… 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah but…we know it won’t end that way.
I figure, Mr. Darren Fisher, the local MP for Dartmouth-Cole Harbour, gets told he either helps them see the light, or DND pivots as much money as it can out of an unfriendly location.
Oh, it wasn’t Lucki who isn’t the RCMP’s friend…it was apparently just her notes that aren’t the RCMP’s friends.
What a load of codswallop that article is…”in notes prepared for Cmre Lucki to present to cabinet…”
So did she herself actually say what her notes said? 🤦🏻
The CSIS report (on record) says no, but the CSIS Head says yes, thing gives citizens reasonable uncertainty as to what was going on…did the CSIS Head counter the Service’s own assessment to ‘do the PM a solid?’ One can’t help but at least ask the question…
The whole thing stinks and Canadians...
