Not much is being said about the FaCT contract, which is set to be awarded this year.

You’d have to be really dedicated, or stupid, to stay in the CAF as a non-spec Cpl if you can make $90k civy side in your trade.

I don’t know, can the A330 even land anywhere north of Yellowknife, in Canada anyway? Inuvik is supposed to get a lengthened runway and larger ramp. It’s a big aircraft, much bigger than the H Model hercs that went up there.

I don’t think there is an operational requirement for tankers to live in the territories.

Hiring immigrants creates another problem, they are willing to work for the lower wages for survival. If employers fill positions with low-wages, why raise them? Welfare assistance for able bodied citizens is the biggest problem.

People forget that going to the gym, lifting weights, doing cardio etc isn't to make things like labor jobs easier. It's mainly for injury prevention and quicker recovery, that's what I use it for anyway.

Hopefully they have skills and a willingness to work outside the comfy indoor office environment. Labor sector is desperate for people.

Which is why they’ll keep them around.
