Is there a CFAO or DAOD that states that when we clear out (for release), we have to be in uniform and not in civvies? If we have already returned all our kit (i.e. combats), then do we have to go in CFs?

I have a question about when to use high and low gears on a bike. I understand when you shift to a lower gear, it makes it easier to pedal. So is the low gear for going uphill and you change to a higher gear when going downhill?
I currently live in single quarters on base (CFB Petawawa) and I have deductions for my rations at the mess hall every month. I've been told when I go on leave, I can't use my ration card anymore and I will have to pay for my meals if I want to eat at the mess hall. Is that true?

Why is it that married or common law people get more benefits than single people? E.g. married/common law people get more allowance for moving when they get posted and they don't have to pay for rations.
