There are a few of them out there, and regular shaving in the field reinforces the need to keep one clean. McNutt

    How to Pack Sleeping Bags

I agree with shaving at night before going to ground. It not only cleans of the cam paint and dirt from the day, but it is part of a personal hygine routine. If shaving is not enforced then there are going to be people that crap out on the hygine.  McNutt

    Infantry wearing black berets?

Look at a HQ Sqn of an armd regt. It is comprised of mostly CSS. They like to be referred to by there trade and on the most part, don't consider themselves a Strat or a Dragoon. Referring to the Patrica's as Strat's would be an insult to both the Strat's and the Patrica's.   Before I switched...

Vibrum (sp) soles (aka VIBRAM ...)

I only got mine for breaking my ankle, waiting on PAT. Follow the norm and don't pay for it yourself. I think they guy who did them said they cost something like roughly $80 a pair.

Vibrum (sp) soles (aka VIBRAM ...)

When I got mine in BMQ you needed a chit but that was in 03, I think you do not need a chit no because my girlfriend went to clothing stores to get kit for her BMQ and she got  two sets in St Jean. She said she was told if you had them, you could were them regardless. McNutt

    Airforce/Navy infantry type jobs?

BeadWindow- I have had more then one experience with BASF's, All except Trenton were in Petawawa. The personal conducting VCP here seem highly motivated, even when it is minus 40 out. At least here you get your ID card checked and you do not have a MS yelling at an overweight Cpl to move a...

    Airforce/Navy infantry type jobs?

Thanks Bert, I needed a laugh. Last May while visiting my girlfriend down in Trenton, and saw the WASF conducting a security exercise. Stopped at a VCP  no id check, nothing. The MS who was manning the VCP was yelling for the Cpl to move the pylon, it was raining out and the Cpl in his full...
