As well CBC's mini-series starts soon (I know how popular CBC is to some on here) but you never know. I found their mini series on the Halifax explosion a few years back interesting even if some of the story line was not factual.

Just watched part 1.  interesting army connection; the photos of curling club in Halifax and the dock where the death ships landed are guarded by The RCR wearing the new khaki uniform with forage cap issued the year before.

My grandparents with my two-year-old father came across on the Empress of Ireland at the same time. Am I ever glad they decided the ship's name doesn't make much difference when you're in steerage. Being Scottish, they went for low cost over speed.
