There is an entire museum in London devoted to the gunners of the Empire.  I missed it this year cause I only had time for two, and the wife wanted the British Museum and I wanted the Imperial War Museum.  But next time, oh, next time.  They also have a snazzy little online gift shop with alright prices.  The pound is down a little bit being the low season over there so take advantage.

Please, Dear God - tell me I didn't see pictures on your site of : a) a folding lawn chair on a gun platform and b) someone loading a round "wrong-handed"  Sorry - it's a TSM thing  ;)

That being said - very cool pics of the gun pits. In 13 years, I only saw them once....  Overall, nice site

US Field Artillery Magazine:

http://sill-www.army.mil/FAMAG/

the purpose of the magazine is â Å“to disseminate professional knowledge and furnishing information
as to the artillery's progress, development and best use in campaign; to cultivate with
the other arms a common understanding of the power and limitations of each; to foster
a feeling of interdependence among the different arms and of hearty cooperation by all;
and to promote understanding between the regular and militia forces by forging a close
bondâ ”all of which objects are worthy and contribute to the good of our country.â ?

The current issue has some excellent articles on the use of mortars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Well worth a read for all gunners and indirect fire geeks.
