Don‘t live where you‘re posted?

Anyone live outside of the city that they are posted? In particular, posted to Kingston or attending POET and live in a town outside like Belleville?


Just curious as I am either applying for Sig Op or LCIS Tech and will have to be in kingston for some time and my wife would maybe move to Belleville with some friends of ours while I am training in Kingston(especially if it is a year for LCIS Tech).

Most people i know would much rather live in kingston then belleville. No offense to anyone from that area but it‘s a pretty brutal place to live/find work.

I wouldn‘t advise trying to commute from belleville, especially while on course. However, it‘s not far to go for weekends and maybe the odd weeknight. I know many people here that live on base through the week and then go home to their wife or girlfriend on weekends.
