"This kilt is machine washable." ?? I don't know about back east, but all Highland units I've come across use full-weight wool kilts - certainly not machine washable. It seems like this is one of those polyester novelty kilts (5 yards of fabric, 24 inch drop?) and certainly not suited for regimental wear.

If a kilt claims to be machine washable, it's probably only appropriately worn by catholic school girls.
