How long does it take to be sworn in?

They said it starts at about 8:00 A.M. and generally takes a whole day.

Could anyone with experience, please fill me in on how many hours it usually takes? I was ready to make plans for a family dinner, but I am not sure when the day will be done.

Any help would be appreciated.

It can vary depending on how many are being sworn in that day but you should be done by early afternoon.

I was sworn in with 5 others (6 total) at about 7:00 pm, we were fitted for uniforms and had the hordes of paperwork done by 10:30 or so.
