What makes you say that?
She knows her shit and was well respected in challenging portfolios, including procurement and defence, by people I know (and trust) who are senior enough in the military to have a clue on those things. Whether in government or opposition, she’s a knowledgeable and mature voice at the table.

Middle management had a lot of respect for her as well. We didn't see a lot actually get done but it was obvious she was trying honestly and it was a bit of a piss-off when she got shuffled off for...<checks notes>... having the best interests of the military in mind instead of being a lacky for the PMO.
I wonder how much of the RCAF's very good year 2023-2024 was the result of her staff work and plodding through the puzzle palace to replace over 200 RCAF aircraft.
