Looking for info on Victor Carew First Newfoundland Regiment (WW1)

Hi my name is Kari. I'm looking for info on a Victor Carew and his two brothers Dan Carew and I don't his other brothers name. They fought in Beaumont Hamel. But thats all I know about them. Carew is a pretty common name in Nfld ( I knew a Carew in the RNFLDR in the 1980's possibly a relative/descendent).

I would contact the RNFLDR ( their contacy info is in the links here on the site) and see if thay can point you in the right  direction.

Hi,

You might want to try the link below. It's a database of attestation papers from ww1. There is also the Commonwealth WarGraves commission, with links below. There are a few Carew names but in 1914 Nfld was not part of Canada yet so you may want to search the British equivalent. Although I did find some Carews who signed up in Nova Scotia and were from the island.
