Looking for information

Good day to all:
I am hoping someone might be able to help me, I am looking for any information on my father. The information that I have so far is the following.
He served with the R.C.H.A. in Korea (trying to find out what regiment he served with) I know he sailed to Korea on the USMC General E.O. Patrick. His name was Joseph Francis White (Nicknamed Earl) and was from Cape Breton Nova Scotia. I am trying to get his sevice records and find out what type of person he was. He died way to young, before I could get to know him. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated or if someone could point me in the right direction that would also be appreciated.
