hey guys . i was just wondering... ive been in the army for about a year now... and im goinng away in 2 months... i dont have a passport.. i was wondering if u need to go through the army to get one... or do i just goto the post office as usual, because im not a civi anymore so i didnt know weather or not to fill out a regular passport form.. can anyone help.

You apply through the post office like all others. The military at this time will only cover the passport if you are dagging for a tour and even in that case you will most likely get a green government passport which you will have to turn in at end tour.

With the added rules at the border, everyone will need a blue one in a year anyway and atleast if you fork out the $85 now, it will be good for 5 years.
