While it is possible it is very unlikely unless the recruiting process happens in the same way for both of you at the same time.  For example, if you have a medical issue and your friend doesn't then he may be enrolled before you.  However, you could both end up in the same unit eventually but probably not at the same time.

Just a point of interest...the Americans do use the 'buddy system' where possible.

Yes I will add something. Kincanucks is a recruiter so don't bother asking for others to guess or muse or add uninformed opinions. Kincanucks is wired in on recruiting issues, everyone else that added anything on your question is just noise.
