I have noticed that my reflexes are a little slow. Considering I am considering joining the army, I would like to improve them. Does anyone have any tips on how to train and improve my reflexes?

Thank you in advance.

Try a few hardcore death matches on Modern Warfare 2.  You should be good to go after.

Funnily enough, hardcore is all I play in Call of Duty, but my reflexes do not seem to have been improved.

Just out of curiosity;

1. What's the basis for your definition of slow reflexes?

2. How do you know what reflexes are required, how do you gauge them, and how are you comparing yours against that level?

As far as developing reflex skills, there's different things out there.

Physical: repetitive activities requiring hand-eye coordination. Some athletes use something like this:

Personally as a goalie, I like tennis balls and walls. It's cheap, and simple.

Mental: Improving cognitive brain functions. Sites like luminosity have different activities online geared for this. This is where stuff like video games can help, but you need both the mental and the physical.

However, considering that you are considering joining the army  ;D I would suggest you not focus so much on reflexes and more on what you require to join; administratively and physically. Lightning fast cobra hands won't help you if you can't run to where you need to use them.

Two words:  Red Bull.  ;D

Seriously, it would be unusual to have "slow reflexes" without an underlying medical condition.  Lack of coordination and athletic ability, that's another matter, so perhaps you'd like to skip the MOSID for "Ninja".

Pick one of these up : http://servingstrong.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341ca50853ef011570c2ce87970b-320wi

You'll get some reflexes!! And when it starts getting to easy, change up its system and speed 'em up.

I love Wack-a-Mole!!!

Try tracking a deer in snow, see how close you get. Keep doing it until you can touch it to make it run. If your reflexive action to the environment hasn't improved, then you my friend are at the epitome of your personal action.

I have a much better idea :

The OP should stop worrying about it !!!

::)
