The No. 2 Mk 1 Browning High Power Pistol is the issue pistol for the Canadian Armed Forces, they were built by Inglis during the Second World War. The P226 is a far more modern weapon than the No2 Mk1 as the Browning is single action only. The P226 is dual action. What this means is that the P226 can be carried with the hammer down an a round in chamber and still be fired. To carry the Browning in the same state of readiness requires that the pistol be readied wih a round in the chamber, the hammer cocked, and the safety applied. a less than safe method. If JTF-2 carries Browning Pistols they are most likely the double action model made by FN.
