Summer SQ

I have tried searching and cannot seem to find the info I am looking for.
I am swearing in with the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa tomorrow night, will do a bit of PAT work for a while, then do the January weekend BMQ. My question though is this: My college program begins Aug. 13th, is there a possibility of doing courses earlier in the summer (currently a university student, so have May through Aug. 13th off) or am I without hope concerning that?

I know some places (Ei. Wainwright) Run Sq's in July.
I'm not sure what your options are from Ottawa.

There was an SQ run in July in Meaford this year. I know many friends who got sent there for summer SQ/BIQ.

Would the courses be finished by the 13th though?

My SQ held this past summer in Meaford was finished by mid-late July.

did you end up doing BIQ afterwards?

Yes I did, but if you tell your unit of your situation after your BMQ is done, they won't sign you up for any courses after SQ.

Swear in, get sorted, pass BMQ. Inform your chain of command when you join, what your schedule is like and let the Ops Shop do their thing. If they can get you on a course, they will.

My Husbands SQ starts Nov 6th to Dec 15 in Meaford.
