Switching 1st / 2nd choice ?

Right now, I'm waiting to schedule my aptitude test, so that's how far along in the recruiting process I am. I initially applied with Aerospace Engineering Officer as my 1st choice and Pilot as my second choice. Is it going to be really difficult if I decide that I want Pilot to be my first choice?

No not a problem at all. Just inform them you would like to change the order of your choices when you go in to write your CFAT.

Last time I tried to change my choice order they said it doesn't matter. Maybe for NCM atleast, they said its just A,B,C as opposed to 1. 2. 3....could be different for officer.

No, you are right. The selections are looked at as A, B, C for every  entry plan. The only thing the order does is that it can show you have a greater enthusiasm and interest for a particular occupation so it is still better to put the occupations in your preferred order (told to me by an MCC who's MOC is pilot). In the end though it is still A, B, C.
