Hi, I recently swore in for 5 years as a Combat Engineer. My start date is January 9th in Borden. I applied in July 2004, completed my physical and aptitude test in October 2004, my Interview and medical in January 2005. My medical came back in June 2005, saying i reached the medical standards. I then re-did my physical test in July 2005, because it had been 6 months old. Then, in November 2005 I was offered a conditional offer of enrolment for 5 years as a Combat Engineer, I accepted and swore in.
My vision category is V3. I recently discovered that in June 2005 they changed the vision requirements. I believe that I would now fall under a V4. My question is this: when I get to Borden are they going to check my eyes ( i read that they do a medical prior to training to make sure i still reach the medical standard for my trade) and tell me I can no longer enter the combat arms? I read a post that this has already happened to someone else, I don't know if it's true, but any feedback would be appreciated. If Kincanucks has some advice that would be great. THANKS IN ADVANCE
