Universality of Service
Posted by Robert Rob Clarke from Ottawa ON Canada on February 12, 1999 at 19:53:34:
Hello!
I‘m interested in contacting any former service member who was released under the terms of Universality of Service UoSto discuss same. My situation saw me released from the army for a minor medical problem. I was given a medical category which ended up with my release under a medical item 3B. My pension was based upon years of service but not my "disability". I have recently learned that this policy is not "universal" but rather, it is very selective. There are many who still serve dispite serious medical problems.
I would like to speak via email to anyone who has been through UoS and get your thoughts on this selective release program.
