A B. Eng. or a B. A. Sci. is what you get after you graduate from an accredited engineering university. They stand for bachelors of engineering and applied science respectively. That would be your engineering degree. A P.Eng. are the post-nomials licensed Professional Engineers place after their names. To receive your P. Eng. designations you must meet, in Ontario, the PEO requirements such as time and experience in the field, passing professional exams. It is sort of like a CGA or CA in accounting. You must be a P.Eng. to practice engineering.
I hope I'm not hijacking this thread by asking if there are certain jobs in the CF that require you to have a P. Eng. designation? Since by PEO requirements many jobs in the Forces would fall under what a P. Eng. would look after. Or does the CF fall under some other jurisdiction when it come to engineering practice?
Cheers
